You will be joining our friendly and fun production office located on the Sheffield Business Park where we are responsible for the goods in and out, and production for LabLogic.

Your role will include testing the various instruments we manufacture, from Radio TLC scanners to Radio HPLC detectors, whilst also supporting other production engineers with building instruments.

You will also be required to provide technical support to our service department.

Responsibilities
  • Post-production testing.
  • Test units before release to customers.
  • Identify issues and return to production for rework (as required).
  • Fault finding and resolution (if possible).
  • Complete test certificates.
  • When not testing, supporting production with sub-assemblies.

The above list is not exhaustive and, as such, you may be required to undertake other duties as appropriate.

Requirements

We are looking for an individual who along with their technical skills, strongly believes in, and cares about their work. You should be someone who proactively seeks ways to improve processes and outcomes to deliver results.

Essential

  • Computer literate, specifically with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Communication skills.
  • Hands-on and practical-minded evidenced through professional experience or personal hobbies (e.g., DIY Projects).
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Comfortable working independently.
  • An enthusiastic attitude & willingness to learn.
  • At least four GCSEs at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).

Desirable

  • Driving license (or working towards).
  • Experience with soldering.
