Essex England, United Kingdom Triple West Medical Full time £60,000 - £120,000 per year

We are looking for dynamic, motivated, and forward-thinking doctors to join our Emergency Department as a Senior Clinical Fellow (ST3+) with our NHS Client based in Essex.

This is your opportunity to work across one of the largest NHS Foundation Trusts in the country — with over 14,000 staff serving over 1 million people. The hospitals deliver high-quality emergency care 24/7, supported by a multi-disciplinary team committed to clinical excellence, innovation, and patient-centred care.

Why Join

You'll be part of a vibrant, inclusive team that values collaboration, development, and wellbeing. Our NHS Client believes in empowering their staff to innovate and shape the future of healthcare delivery.

They offer

  • Excellent career development through tailored training and mentorship.

  • Access to the CESR rotational programme – including secondments in Anaesthesia, ITU, Acute Medicine, and Paediatrics – to help you achieve consultant-level competencies.

  • Protected CPD time (4 hours weekly) and a structured teaching programme led by experienced consultants.

  • Flexible working arrangements and strong support for work-life balance.

  • A culture of respect, inclusion, and wellbeing, guided by our Trust values.

About the Role

As a Senior Clinical Fellow, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality emergency care across the three hospital sites.

You'll work alongside consultants, registrars, and the wider emergency team to assess, resuscitate, and manage acutely ill and injured patients in a fast-paced environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting the assessment and management of emergency cases

  • Supervising and teaching junior medical staff and nurses

  • Actively contributing to departmental audits, clinical governance, and service improvement

  • Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and proactive patient management

  • Playing a central role in maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety

  • You'll work on a full shift rota (including days, nights, and weekends), averaging 48 hours per week, with built-in cover for annual and study leave.

About You

You are a confident, compassionate clinician with strong leadership and teamwork skills. You thrive in challenging, fast-paced environments and are committed to providing the best care possible to every patient.

Essential Requirements:

  • Full GMC registration and MBBS or equivalent

  • MRCEM

  • Minimum ST3+ level experience in Emergency Medicine or equivalent

  • Demonstrable experience in acute and emergency care

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

  • ALS, ATLS, APLS, or PALS certification

CESR Programme

They are proud to offer a structured CESR pathway designed to help you achieve consultant-level training equivalence over a five-year period.

The programme includes dedicated secondments, mentorship from an assigned consultant supervisor, and a comprehensive teaching framework to support your professional growth.

Working with the NHS Trust

You will join a forward-thinking team that values continuous improvement and encourages staff to contribute ideas for service development.

Your voice matters — you'll be part of a Trust that supports your wellbeing, development, and career ambitions.

The Emergency Departments are busy, supportive, and inclusive environments where your clinical expertise, leadership, and enthusiasm will make a real impact.

What They Offer

  • Competitive salary and NHS benefits package.

  • Generous study leave and training opportunities.

  • Access to staff wellbeing and development programmes.

  • Opportunities to rotate across three major hospitals for varied experience.

  • Strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
