The Role
As Head of Employability and Progression, you will take overall responsibility for the leadership, quality, and development of the department. You will be instrumental in driving improvements in teaching, curriculum innovation, and student achievement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic leadership and management of the Employability and Progression department.
- Raising standards in teaching, learning, and assessment to ensure consistently high learner outcomes.
- Innovating the curriculum to meet learner needs.
- Leading a high-performing team fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Representing the department internally and externally, building positive relationships with stakeholders, exam boards, and funding bodies.
About You:
- Inspirational leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong, successful experience of working with vulnerable young people who may be disengaged from learning and or have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted expectations, quality assurance, and curriculum planning.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed or equivalent).
