Summary

We are seeking an experienced Legal Cashier with a strong understanding of solicitor accounting and the SRA Accounts Rules to join our dynamic team in Lightwater, Surrey. This role is vital in managing our financial transactions and ensuring compliance with legal financial regulations, supporting our mission to provide exceptional legal services worldwide. As the firm continues to expand, the successful candidate is likely to take on supervisory responsibilities within the accounts department.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily financial transactions including invoicing and payments using Xero accounting software.
• Oversee accounts payable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments.
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with legal industry standards.
• Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial reports.
• Collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
• Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation.
• Continuously improve financial procedures to enhance efficiency.

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum of three years' experience as a Legal Cashier
   in an SRA-regulated England & Wales law firm.
• Strong technical understanding of SRA Accounts Rules and legal sector accounting.
• Exceptional accuracy, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with the ability to work with consultants, management, and external parties.
• Experience using Xero legal accounting software.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines.
• Professional, reliable, and able to support team development.
