Job Description: We are looking for a compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. You will play an essential role in supporting our residents with daily activities and providing high-quality care, ensuring they feel comfortable, safe, and supported.
As a Care Assistant, your duties will include:
- Assisting residents with personal care needs such as dressing and bathing.
- Supporting residents with meal times and ensuring they are comfortable during meals.
- Providing emotional and social support to residents, helping them maintain a sense of well-being.
- Encouraging residents to engage in activities and social interactions.
- Reporting and recording any changes in residents' condition to the senior care team.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents.
Key Requirements:
- A genuine passion for providing care to individuals with dementia and supporting them in a respectful, dignified manner.
- A minimum of Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification or the Care Certificate.
- Previous experience in a care home setting is essential.
- A caring, empathetic, and patient attitude.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- The ability to manage tasks independently, using initiative and common sense.
- A flexible and positive approach to working hours, including weekends, day & night shifts
