Senior Platform Engineer

THE ROLE  

At Form3, we're on a mission to transform the world of payments and we're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer (Networking) to help us get there. 

If you're passionate about cloud networking and thrive on designing scalable, resilient and secure connectivity solutions, we want to hear from you. You'll dive deep into packet captures, troubleshoot complex network issues, and architect cutting-edge, hybrid cloud network infrastructures. 

We're looking for someone with strong cloud networking experience. Any experience in data centre environments will be a welcome bonus. This role will see you design, scale, and run the networks that connect Form3's multi-cloud platform across AWS, GCP, Azure and data centres in Equinix and Coresite.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR   

• Deep understanding of cloud-native and traditional networking architectures.
• Proven experience designing and operating scalable, secure and resilient networks in AWS, GCP, or Azure. 
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 protocols, VPNs, routing and switching. 
• Familiarity with hybrid connectivity setups, including Direct Connect, ExpressRoute and Interconnect. 
• Proficiency with packet capture tools like tcpdump and Wireshark. 
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, scripting skills or a software engineering mindset). 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills as we work cross-functionally at Form3. 
• Experience with Juniper hardware or Equinix Fabric is a bonus but not required. 

TECH STACK  

We operate a hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure, connecting AWS, GCP, Azure and Equinix data centres in London and Virginia and Coresite in Santa Clara. 

• AWS: DirectConnect, Transit Gateway, VPC Peering, VPN, NAT Gateway, NLB/ALB.
• GCP: Interconnect, Cloud Router, VPC Peering, Service Perimeter.
• Azure: ExpressRoute, Virtual Network Gateway, Azure Firewall.
• Container Orchestration: Kubernetes with Cilium CNI, CoreDNS, ExternalDNS.
• Data Centres: Equinix Fabric, Juniper EX switches, SRX firewalls.

THE TEAM  

Our Platform Infrastructure team sits at the core of Form3's business, ensuring that our world-class payments platform is reliable, scalable, and secure. 

We manage hybrid cloud and private network infrastructures across AWS, GCP, Azure and multiple global data centres. We provide the backbone that product engineering teams build on, ensuring performance, scalability and operational excellence. 

You'll join a team that's hands-on with networking and compute infrastructure and is always looking to push the boundaries of what's possible. As a Senior Platform Engineer focused on networking, you'll help us elevate our capabilities to the next level.

We always aim to stick to the above process, however there may be occasions when an additional interview stage is needed for us to be sure we're hiring the right person 

HIRING LOCATIONS  

We are a remote-first company and are able to accept applications from the following countries; Germany, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain & United Kingdom

All new joiners start their first day in our office to collect the equipment needed to work remotely. We'll also arrange for some of your team to come in to say hi, ensuring you're supported and have a positive first few days with Form3
