As a Principal Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the mobile team, you are the heart of this venture, focused on getting smart ideas into the hands of our customers. You have a curious mindset, thrive in collaborative squads, and are passionate about new technology. By your nature, you are also solution-oriented, commercially savvy and have a head for fintech. You thrive in working in tribes and squads that focus on specific products and projects – and depending on your strengths and interests, you'll have the opportunity to move between them.

Job responsibilities:

  • Establish and refine SDLC (testing strategy, automation, CI/CD, code quality gates) optimizing developer experience, velocity and robustness
  • Design a release strategy enabling frequent, stable releases
  • Define and evolve React Native / Expo mobile architecture for a mass‑market consumer application
  • Design and deliver a modular core platform enabling rapid, reliable feature iteration.
  • Recruit, mentor and lead a lean, high‑impact engineering team

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Formal training or certification on React engineering concepts and proficient expert experience
  • Proven delivery of commercial React Native applications in production across Android & iOS at scale
  • Deep understanding of React Native and Expo internals 
  • Latest knowledge of architecture, tooling and best practices in mobile app development
  • Mastery of TypeScript
  • Experience optimizing large codebases
  • Hands‑on knowledge of mobile build & release systems
  • Strong grasp of architecture patterns

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Published React Native app(s) in public app stores
  • Native Kotlin and/or Swift experience
  • Kotlin Multiplatform exposure
