Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Level 3 Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality childcare and educational activities in a nurturing environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about child development and committed to fostering a safe, engaging space for young children. The position is paid and suitable for those with relevant experience or qualifications in childcare or nursery settings.
Duties
- Plan, organise, and implement age-appropriate learning activities that promote children's development across all areas.
- Provide attentive supervision and care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Support children's emotional and social development through positive interactions and behaviour management strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any concerns to inform ongoing care plans.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support each child's individual needs.
- Manage daily routines including meal times, nappy changes, playtime, and rest periods.
- Lead small group activities to encourage learning through play and exploration.
- Uphold health and safety standards in line with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
Skills
- Proven experience with children in nursery or early childhood settings, demonstrating strong childcare skills.
- A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in early years
- Paediatric First Aid trained or willing to undertake the training within 3 months of starting.
- Excellent management and leadership abilities to guide both children and team members effectively.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to engage positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach towards young children.
- Organisational skills to plan activities efficiently while maintaining a structured environment.
- Valid driving licence is desirable foe to our rural location.
After completing a 3 month probationary period the ideal candidate will receive a £200 welcome bonus.
