Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high standards of food safety, guest satisfaction, and efficient service.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
  • Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards.
  • Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the service area before, during, and after shifts.
  • Handle guest enquiries professionally and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Assist with food preparation when required, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to inform guests effectively.

Skills

  • Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods.
  • Good organisational skills with effective time management abilities.
  • Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately.
  • Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations is beneficial.
  • Culinary experience or familiarity with restaurant operations can enhance performance.
  • Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to optimise sales opportunities.
