To work as part of the nursery team to provide a friendly, caring and relaxed environment in order to encourage and develop the children in the setting.
« To ensure ratios are maintained at all times in all areas.
« To have a full working knowledge of the EYFS framework, Every Child Matters, the Welfare and Safeguarding requirements and the assessment requirements for children and to ensure they implement a creative and inspirational curriculum.
« To ensure all daily routines are adhered to and recording procedures are followed at all times.
« To ensure all key person duties are completed, all observations and planning is kept up to date and any concerns reported to the manager immediately.
« To maintain a healthy, hygienic and safe environment by following all Health and Safety procedures.
« To create positive professional relationships with parents and carers, ensuring confidentiality and appropriate behaviour is used at all times.
« To ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
« To have a full understanding of all serious allergies and individual dietary requirements and to ensure you follow nursery special diet policy.
« To contribute to and attend regular team meetings, identifying any areas of concern within the team and reporting issues to your line manager.
« As an individual, to work as part of a team to ensure we meet Ofsted requirements and to ensure we continuously achieve a high grading.
« To work in partnership with external agencies and other professionals to support individual children or nursery development as a whole.
« To attend training as required and to promote the nursery when attending any meetings in a professional capacity.
« To follow the Nursery Safeguarding Children procedure at all times, working in a manner that ensures children are secure and any concerns about a child's welfare is reported immediately following the LSCB flowchart, completing the appropriate paperwork when needed and liaising with the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) as needed for advice and to complete referrals.
« To complete duties in a timely and professional manner and to support other staff to do the same.
« To take responsibility for the appearance of the setting, report any issues and to comply with all Health and Safety procedures.
