**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Transport Planner to join our team at Calderhead Refrigerated Transport Ltd. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the transportation of goods to ensure timely deliveries and efficient routes.

**Duties:**

  • Plan and schedule transportation routes for drivers to ensure on-time deliveries

  • Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to arrange pickups and drop-offs

  • Monitor transportation costs and work towards cost-effective solutions

  • Utilize software for efficient route planning

  • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry and documentation using

  • Computerise transportation operations to streamline processes

  • Maintain accurate records of shipments and update information in the system

  • Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams

  • Uphold phone etiquette standards when interacting with stakeholders

  • Assist in resolving any transportation issues or delays promptly

**Skills:**

  • Proficiency in for documentation and communication

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively

  • Experience in clerical duties within an office environment

  • Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently

  • Knowledge of administrative procedures in a logistics setting

**Requirements:**

  • Proven experience as a Transport Planner or similar role in the logistics industry

  • Familiarity with transport management systems and software

  • Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address transportation challenges

  • Working a 2 shift rotating pattern - 06:00 - 15:00 & 11:00 - 20:00

  • Working 1 Sunday per month 12:00 - 18:00
