ROLE – Bench Joiner

LOCATION – Hampshire

TERM – Permanent

SALARY – £30,000 - £45,000, dependent on experience

My client is a specialist in high-end bespoke joinery solutions. They are looking for a Bench Joiner with CAD experience to join their team in Hampshire on a permanent basis.

The Bench Joiner will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Relevant qualification in Design, Engineering, or Construction (HNC / HND / NVQ / City & Guilds etc.)
  • 2 or more years' experience in a Joinery role or similar position in the woodworking industry
  • Strong understanding of bespoke joinery, cabinetry, and furniture manufacturing
  • Experience producing detailed workshop and cutting list drawings
  • Strong experience with AutoCAD
  • 3D CAD experience with software such as SolidWorks, Inventor or similar would be beneficial too
  • Understanding of materials such as solid timber, veneers, MDF, laminates, and hardware fittings
  • Excellent attention to detail and an eye for design
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings
  • Capable of working independently as well as part of a collaborative team

The Bench Joiner role will involve:

  • Producing high-quality 2D and 3D drawings for workshop use based on client briefs and architectural plans
  • Working closely with Project Managers and the production team to ensure design intent is met
  • Creating detailed cutting lists, component breakdowns, and hardware specifications
  • Attending client or site meetings when required to gather measurements or clarify requirements
  • Amending drawings in line with client feedback or site constraints
  • Ensuring all drawings comply with manufacturing and health & safety standards
  • Providing technical support during the manufacturing and installation phases
  • Maintaining drawing records and version control throughout the project lifecycle
