London, Greater London, United Kingdom Close Brothers Full time £60,000 - £120,000 per year

Overall Summary
At Close Brothers we look to recruit individuals from all different backgrounds and encourage you to apply even if you don't tick every box. We celebrate diversity and promote inclusivity. Vacancies are available on a part-time, job-share or full-time basis because we know the best person for the job isn't always available full-time. Our aim is to facilitate requests wherever possible and managers will consider requests on an individual basis.

Join the Close Brothers Investor Relations & Marketing Team where you will be leading the group's IR function, with responsibility for producing clear and consistent messaging covering the group's business, strategy and financial performance and ensuring these are clearly articulated to the investment community (including shareholders, bondholders, target investors, analysts and other market participants) and the financial media.

Working as part of the Investor Relations & Marketing team our ideal team member will have previous experience in managing relationships with corporate brokers and advisers with a strong understanding of the financial markets.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Senior Management to shape and articulate key messages covering the group's business model, strategy, investment case and financial performance for delivery to the investment community, ensuring these are consistently reflected in the group's internal and external communications
  • Lead the production of high-quality materials for results announcements, presentations and other events, including regulatory announcements and supporting materials, ensuring these accurately and consistently reflect key messages
  • Lead the development and delivery of the group's investor relations plan, maintaining quality and consistency of interaction with analysts, investors, and other financial market participants
  • Develop and execute a full investor engagement programme, ensuring both regular contact with existing shareholders and a strong pipeline of target investors. Oversee all logistics, briefings and preparation of materials for investor meetings and roadshows
  • Act as a primary spokesperson for the firm, representing the company in meetings and building strong relationships with analysts, shareholders and target investors
  • Monitor share price, valuation and share register movements and report on these to Senior Management and the Board
  • Promote talent development within the IR team, with line management responsibility for two IR managers.

Developing Our People:
as a line manager, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, as well as developing performance through coaching. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

  • A proven track record in investor relations, ideally in the financial services sector
  • Experience of managing the financial calendar and developing relationships with analysts and investors
  • The ability to think strategically, whilst being willing to "pitch in" with a hands-on approach
  • Proven experience of drafting financial results and other announcements
  • Strong financial literacy and technical skills, including a good understanding of valuation
  • Focus on quality and attention to detail
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Team management experience

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

  • Professional qualifications (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CFA)

We are an inclusive organisation and committed to ensuring our recruitment process is as accessible as possible to everyone. We will make adjustments for people who have a disability or long-term condition. If you need the job description or application form in an alternative format or would like to discuss the recruitment process with us, please email us at or request a call back.
