We require a qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our committed team. Unqualified staff are considered and are encouraged to apply, should they have transferable skills that would suit such a post . Unqualified members should have a wish to develop professionally.
The nursery provides high quality childcare for children aged from birth to 5 years within an anti-discriminatory and inclusive environment.
To apply for this role, you must complete an application form which can be emailed to you directly from the setting, together with a suitable person check.
The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, be a friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic.
They will be expected to work in partnership with parents and carers to prove the best environment for our children.
Main tasks: All the tasks associated with the role of an Early Years Practitioner.
Compliance with OFSTED standards and Nursery policies and procedures at all times.
Complete daily observation sheets on each of your key-children, informing parents of their child's day at nursery
Able to plan for and set up age appropriate activities for the children based on their stage of development and be part of the rota for messy play activities, washing-up and daily visual checks / risk assessments
Perform relevant observations and evaluations on your designated key-children that link into the EYFS; using them to plan experiences for each individual child, updating their Journals, individual plans and informing parents of their child's development and experiences whilst at nursery; and making sure that all relevant paperwork is completed appropriately and thoroughly to ensure good evidence of the children's progress is ongoing.
Be an excellent time manager.
Have a pro-active can do attitude to help maintain the high standards that we maintain around the whole nursery.
Be flexible and move around the nursery, working in other rooms and with other age ranges of children, to meet the business needs and ensure that staff ratios are constantly met.
