About The Role
This is an exciting role which will require you to plan, deliver and align channel marketing and content activities across CIBSE marketing. The role will primarily focus on social media, email marketing and content creation, while also supporting CIBSE's communications activities and contributing to raising the Institution's profile within the industry and beyond. It is a position that defines how CIBSE is represented digitally, maintaining an engaging and value-led 24/7 'shop window' for the Institution.
Sitting within the marketing team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring brand consistency, a single tone of voice and optimise performance across social media and email marketing. The role will suit someone who is passionate about crafting consistent and engaging content for digital channels with a strong understanding of the constantly evolving social media landscape and the ability to keep pace with current trends. You will play a pivotal role in increasing CIBSE's voice to external audiences and in raising the profile of the profession across our digital channels.
What You Will Do
- Drive the content strategy across channels including planning, scheduling and executing campaigns.
- Develop and manage CIBSE's social media presence across all platforms, implementing both organic and paid advertising strategies to increase visibility, engagement and conversions.
- Monitor social media channels for trends, engagement and opportunities to improve brand visibility and lead generation activities to the website.
- Provide regular reports highlighting key performance and recommendations based on data driven insights.
- Create a consistent look and feel across channels, set best practice guidelines by channel and ensure CIBSE's overall digital output is engaging, accurate, and impactful.
- Equip teams to self-serve across channels by providing templates and insights for optimum performance.
- Coordinate the annual email calendar to reflect engagement by audience and to optimise our outreach activities.
- Create new and updated digital marketing content that drives traffic and engages audiences. This includes experience in operating cameras for both photography and videography, along with editing skills.
- Maintain a content marketing calendar that schedules all aspects of the creation and delivery of content across all channels.
- Continuously measure and improve content performance using reporting across Google Analytics, social media and other analytics tools.
- Present on email results and develop reports for Networks to showcase how their websites and emails are performing.
- Continually review and revise plans to improve email engagement and deliverability.
- Provide occasional support to the Comms team to include copywriting and proofreading, as required.

What You Will Need To Be Successful*
The role would suit a candidate who is looking for an autonomous opportunity, yet someone who is comfortable being hands on and happy to get stuck in from day one. You will have demonstrable experience using Pardot, social media platforms and with reporting capability in GA4, in addition to the following attributes:
- Right to work in the UK
- Minimum 2 years' relevant experience
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud beneficial.
- Experience in managing paid advertising campaigns (e.g. Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads).
- Experience operating a camera for basic photography and videography.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship skills.
- Proficient with template and asset creation in Canva.
- Excellent organisation skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Experience working within a Charity and/or a professional body preferable.
