Zoe's Dance Company is a small, passionate business dedicated to introducing children to the joy of musical theatre dance. We deliver fun, engaging and inclusive dance sessions through lunch clubs and after-school clubs in primary schools across North London. Our mission is to create a positive and inspiring environment where every child feels confident to express themselves through dance. You must be available for after-school hours between 3:30pm-4:30pm during the week.
What we are looking for:
- Assistants - to assist the dance teacher in an after school club session for 1 - 2 days a week.
If the initial video call interview is successful, the next stage of the vetting process will involve being invited to assist a 1-hour after-school club session alongside our lead dance teacher. This practical session allows us to see how you interact with the children and support the class environment. Please note that, as this is part of the interview process, it will be unpaid.
Please do not apply for this job if you cannot commute easily to primary schools in North London e.g. (Millbrook Park Primary School in Mill Hill and Monkfrith Primary School in Southgate).

The ideal candidate will have significant experience working with children and a genuine passion for supporting their development through dance. You should be attentive, nurturing and able to create a fun and safe environment where every child feels included and valued. Strong multitasking skills are essential, as is the ability to remain aware of all children at all times and respond to any challenges calmly and efficiently.
This position requires a fun, upbeat individual who can maintain a positive atmosphere in the class, even when dealing with disruptive pupils.
Responsibilities:
- Support and encourage children throughout each class, helping to create a positive and inclusive environment.
- Ensure children are spaced out at all times during the class
- Assist with the smooth running of sessions by multitasking and staying attentive to all children at all times.
- Respond calmly and efficiently to any challenges or unexpected situations during class.
- Potentially choreograph fun and age-appropriate Musical Theatre dance routines.
- Teach choreography to children step by step in an engaging and easy-to-follow manner, if required.
- Confidently and appropriately manage any disruptive behaviour to maintain a focused learning space.
- Help ensure the safety and well-being of all children, including assisting with the end-of-session dismissal alongside the lead dance teacher.

Pay: £25.00 per hour
