MARINE ENGINEER – Cox's Boatyard (Barton Turf)
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the team at Cox's Boatyard for a Marine Engineer.
Do you enjoy engineering and delivering great customer service? If so, this is your chance to join Cox's Boatyard, a historic boatyard with over 100 years of craftsmanship and a stunning location on the edge of Barton Broad, leading onto the River Ant.
With a 180-berth marina, dinghy park, and a reputation for restoring beautiful wooden boats and Broads cruisers, we are proud of our heritage and passionate about the future. We're now looking for another Marine Engineer to join our existing friendly team.
Hours: full time Mon - Fri
Salary: depending on experience
What you'll be doing
Experienced in maintaining / repairing inboard and outboard engines, both diesel and petrol.
Diagnose faults / problems on inboard and outboard engines and fix.
Check and test inboard and outboard engines.
Fit electronic equipment.
Find faults and fix electrical equipment.
Other associated engineering jobs.
What we're looking for
Experienced working on inboard and outboard engines.
Clean and tidy worker.
Able to work as part of a team but also use own initiative.
Be able to work to the British marine BMET standards
Boat moving and lifting experience.
Clean driving licence.
Forklift experience would be good.
