Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our team, Candidate must be capable of leading a room, providing exceptional care and support to young children in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and the ability to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating atmosphere for children to thrive. This role requires strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to manage a diverse group of children effectively.
Duties
- Provide high-quality care for children aged 0-5 years in a nursery setting.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development and sharing findings with parents.
- Manage daily routines including meal times, nap times, and play activities.
- Foster positive relationships with children through play, encouragement, and support.
- Lead by example in promoting good behaviour and social skills among children.
- Manage your room and staff.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to engage with young children creatively.
- Ability to drive is advantageous for potential off-site activities or excursions.
