Full-Time Job Opportunity - Assistant Herdsperson

An organic dairy farm near Shrewsbury in Shropshire, is looking for an assistant herdsperson to help with the running of a 320 cow autumn block calving dairy herd, full spec 32 point parlour, with modern farm machinery, on a 700 acre farm.

Previous dairy experience is preferred but not essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and a willingness to learn.

Key responsibilities would be;

• Milking once a day.
• General farm work.
• Fencing.
• Cow health.
• Work does vary throughout the year.

A competitive salary for the right candidate, based on a 45-50 hour working week.
