Computer Vision Engineer | Applied AI | Stoke-on-Trent.I'm working with a technology company combining embedded systems, applied AI, and real-world sensing who is building products thatsee,interpret, andrespondto the world around them.This role sits at the intersection of computer vision and applied R&D; turning algorithms into systems that can interpret and react to the world around them.You'll join a small, multidisciplinary engineering group developing and deploying perception systems used in live environments. From initial prototype through to on-site calibration, your work will bridge research and real-world impact, helping taking models out of notebooks and into production.It's hands-on, varied, and genuinely collaborative: one day refining detection pipelines in Python or Computer Vision, the next helping configure multi-camera setups or running real-time tests.What you'll doDesign, train and deploy vision models for detection and tracking.Work closely with hardware and firmware engineers to optimise calibration and data capture.Support field testing and integration of systems in live operational environments (travel required Europe / International).Contribute to research discussions around perception, model robustness, and domain adaptation.You'll bringStrong experience in Python and OpenCV / PyTorch / TensorFlowA practical understanding of camera calibration, lighting, and multi-view geometryA curiosity for how machine learning interacts with the physical world.Please note, this is ahybridrole so will only consider local candidates without need ofvisa / sponsorship.
