Your main tasks:
- Day to day supervision of staff.
- In conjunction with Team leaders, create Daily/ Weekly plans that deliver the business requirements for the area
- Drive the performance of the team to achieve the defined plan/efficiency within the department.
- Display and ensure all team members always display TE's core values and behaviours and holding them accountable.
- Hold and record regular effective 1-1's with team members and feedback to the VSL.
- Assist the VSL in giving performance and behavioural feedback for year end in line with TE's core values.
- Ensure that your own and the teams work is finished on time and to the correct standard.
- To contribute to achieving departmental targets – specifically 'Delivery on Time', Quality and efficiency.
- When required to be part of the team to assist with quality investigations and reviews to determine true root cause of defects, using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Identify development needs within the area, and with the support of the VSL, organise and plan training solutions accordingly.
- Host team reviews and manage team PIM boards, to include reporting to VSL.
- To be accountable for the team's Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets, communicate these with the team members, and feedback with potential solutions when not on target.
- Ensure company procedures and policies are upheld.
- To ensure health and safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation are adhered to.
- To support other teams when required.
- Liaise with other departments and managers when required.
- Raise Maintenance Tickets to ensure any breakdowns are resolved promptly.
- When required, to carry out/be part of a team on TEOA/KAISAN activities.
- Ensure 5S is maintained to the standards required and be part of the audit and implantation process.
- To carry out any other reasonable tasks as may be requested from time to time.
- To adopt and sustain a flexible and proactive approach in all departmental work activities.
- To work to the departmental fundamental rules.
- To ensure a positive attitude and good team working is encouraged and supported.
- To develop team members and provide support as needed.
Your ideal background:
- Previous experience of leading a team.
- Good general education with a high standard
- The ability to work in a methodical way with minimum supervision.
- Be computer literate; experience with Excel and SAP is beneficial.
