Main responsibilities
- Deliver ChargeUK's public affairs strategy and develop targeted campaign plans.
- Lead parliamentary engagement, including briefings, meetings and Select Committee activity.
- Build strong relationships with MPs, peers and advisers across relevant departments
- Translate political developments, including Budget measures affecting charging costs and investment, into clear insights and actions.
- Coordinate high-level meetings and events, ensuring alignment with wider communications.
Key skills and experience required
- Experience in public affairs, government relations, parliamentary and political engagement.
- Strong understanding of the UK political landscape and parliamentary processes.
- Ability to design and deliver effective political campaigns.
- Confident managing relationships with senior political and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of energy, infrastructure, transport or environment policy, or ability to develop this quickly.
