Experienced Lathe/Milling Machinist

Operating throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland, Forge Leisure (UK) Ltd are an established and leading manufacturer of swimming pool cover systems. Supplied predominantly to pools in the commercial sector, the company is currently seeing huge interest from pool operators keen to achieve carbon and energy reduction from this proven technology. Due to unprecedented growth and company development, we are looking to recruit an experienced, time-served manual lathe/milling machinist to support the Company in its initiatives to maintain efficient production of high-quality standards.

• Experience Essential - Must be able to hit the ground running
• Time-served with a number of years precision engineering experience
• Load, set and operate manual lathes and be skilled in using our manual milling machine
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, measure and check jobs working to tight tolerances, to correct quality standards and to required timescales
• Working on Harrison centre lathe and Bridgeport milling machine
• Experience of working within a machine shop environment
• Measurement and dimension control
• Small to medium components from stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium or plastic
• Skilled in using a variety of hand tools
• Adhere to heath & safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
• Communication & Teamwork
• £16.50/hr
• Upto 16 hours per week (negotiable)
• Discretionary Bonus Scheme after successful completion of 3 month probation period
