Mechanical Performance Engineer (m/f/d) Launcher Dynamic Analysis

We are looking for an experienced dynamic structure engineer (m/f/d) to lead the development of HyImpulse in the field of structure dynamics. You will take part in nearly all phases of development of structural components, focusing on vibration loading aspects. You will work in close collaboration with the other members of the structure team, designers and performance engineers. You will also interact closely with other system owners to estimate the dynamic characteristics of their designs and advise actions to fit requirements. After this theoretical work, verifications in testing will allow you to check the accuracy of the calculations and to gain confidence tackling complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identification of the vibration load sources and estimate their characteristics.
  • Use of modal and dynamic response simulations on rocket's subsystems to verify the compliance with requirements.
  • Perform coupled load analysis for customers
  • Planning of the material coupon tests required for conclusive analysis.
  • Participation in development or qualification testing of systems or parts of systems

Basic Qualification:

  • Master's degree in aerospace, automotive or mechanical engineering
  • Concrete experience in dynamic analysis of vehicles or turbomachinery (rocket, satellite, aircrafts, automotive, gas turbine, …)

Desired Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience as a mechanical analyst in one of the following sector: aerospace, automotive, turbo machinery or similar
  • Experience with complex systems interacting dynamically
  • Has experienced all the steps involved in dynamic behaviour design and analysis
  • Knowledge on vibration measurement and testing
  • Experience working with composite materials
  • Experience with the following softwares will be appreciated:
  • Teamcenter
  • NX X
  • Hypermesh / Optistruct
