Harmony Care Provider Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our Learning Disabilities Residential Service in Leamington Spa. In this role, you will support adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent, and meaningful lives.

You will work as part of a committed team, delivering person-centred care that promotes dignity, choice, safety, and wellbeing. This role is ideal for someone caring, reliable, and motivated to make a genuine impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day personal care and support, including bathing, dressing, continence support, grooming, and household tasks.
  • Assist service users with cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, and other daily living activities.
  • Promote independence, empowerment, and personal choice at all times.
  • Support service users with mobility, including moving and handling, wheelchair use, and working alongside health professionals.
  • Help individuals access local community services, activities, and appointments.
  • Administer or assist with medication in line with guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals such as GPs and social workers.
  • Contribute to service reviews, care plans, and continuous service improvement.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in care or support work (Learning Disabilities experience preferred).
  • Comfortable providing personal and intimate care.
  • Empathetic, patient, and committed to person-centred support.
  • Ability to work flexibly in a changing environment.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Word).
  • Willingness to undertake training, including moving & handling.
  • Willingness to travel to the work location is preferred.

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Awareness of Learning Disabilities frameworks, safeguarding, and legislation.
  • Experience managing challenging behaviour.
  • Full UK driving licence.
