Night Porter

Job Description

We are looking for a Night Porter to join our Front Office Team at The Green Dragon Hotel. Our philosophy is to deliver quality to all guests and in this role you would be the central to this, ensuring guest safety and security at all times, and providing first class customer service.

Set in the centre of Hereford City, The Green Dragon Hotel is an about to be a fully refurbished independently owned business. The Hotel offers 83 rooms, a restaurant, a lounge, a cocktail bar, 7 function rooms.

The role of the Night Porter:

• To be responsible for security of the whole site, including walking patrols of the building and outside areas.
• To cover late night bar as required.
• To complete cleaning duties across the hotel.
• Working closely with Front Office to ensure you are aware of all guests on site.
• To cover duties of the reception desk including late check-ins and early check-outs.
• In the event of an emergency situation, ensure that evacuation procedures are followed.
• To prepare and deliver room services once the reception is off duty.
• To build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues throughout the hotel.
• We are looking for enthusiastic and professional individuals with excellent customer service skills.

Requirements of the Night Porter:

• Previous experience working in a porter role (desirable)
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Outstanding customer service
• High standard of personal appearance
• Pro-active approach to work duties
• Computer Literacy (required)
• Ability to work permanent night shifts, currently 4 shifts on 4 shifts off

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: £13.50 per hour
