The Commissioning team within Swansea Council's Social Services Directorate plays a pivotal role in shaping and improving services for families and communities for both internal teams and external organisations.

The Information and Compliance Officer is a key member of this team, responsible for providing advice and technical expertise in the development and maintenance of data and information systems. This role involves collecting, analysing, and reporting on performance data to inform the commissioning process and support continuous improvement.

In this pivotal role, you will provide specialist advice and support in developing and maintaining data and information systems for both strategic and operational use. You'll collect, analyse, and report on performance data, ensuring accurate and reliable information underpins the commissioning process and service improvement. As the lead officer for information management and sharing protocols, you'll ensure compliance with legislation and best practice, coordinate responses to Freedom of Information and Subject Access requests, and support grant funding applications with robust data analysis. You'll also provide training to colleagues, work collaboratively with internal and external partners, and play a key part in developing innovative approaches to data management and performance monitoring.
