Overview

The Bar Supervisor oversees daily bar operations to ensure exceptional service, high-quality beverage preparation, and a safe, welcoming environment. This role supports the Bar Manager by supervising staff, maintaining standards, and driving efficient and profitable service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise bar staff during shifts, providing direction, support, and hands-on assistance.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of excellent customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee bar opening and closing procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Assist in training, recruitment, and performance management of bar staff.
  • Maintain stock levels, manage inventory, and coordinate with suppliers as needed.
  • Monitor cash handling procedures and reconcile POS transactions accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and hygiene standards.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
  • Support the development of drinks menus, promotions, and seasonal offerings.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe bar environment at all times.
  • Collaborate with management on scheduling, cost control, and operational improvements.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a bar supervisory or senior bartender role.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, and beer.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and resolve problems quickly.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
  • Competence with POS systems and basic cash handling procedures.
  • Certifications in alcohol service, food safety, or first aid (preferred but not required).

Pay: £26,500.00-£31,000.00 per year
