Overview

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Fitter to join our construction and fabrication team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various trades, including roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, carpentry, and masonry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilise a wide range of hand and power tools, and contribute to high-quality construction and maintenance tasks. Duties

  • Install, repair, and maintain structural components using appropriate hand tools and power tools.
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans to execute tasks accurately.
  • Perform roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical installations, plastering, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, and construction painting as required.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of sites by clearing debris and setting up scaffolding or ladders.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections of completed work for quality assurance.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace at all times.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction-related trades such as roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, carpentry, or masonry.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures relevant to construction sites.
  • Experience working with various materials including plastering compounds and building blocks.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are desirable but not essential.
  • A proactive attitude with excellent teamwork skills. Candidates must be physically fit and able to work in diverse outdoor conditions while adhering to health and safety regulations throughout their duties. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
