Founding Engineer

Manchester, New Hampshire, United Kingdom MYRRA Full time

Company Overview

MYRRA is building a new layer of social technology—one that blends artificial intelligence, identity, and human connection in a way that feels natural, personal, and enduring.

We're rethinking how people show up, engage, and scale presence in digital spaces—moving beyond feeds, posts, and notifications toward something more expressive and alive. Our platform is designed to unlock entirely new modes of interaction while giving creators and brands a healthier, more sustainable way to connect with audiences.

This is not another social network.

It's an evolution of how humans and intelligent systems coexist online.

Role: Founding Engineer

As a Founding Engineer, you will help architect and build the core systems of a platform operating at the intersection of AI, social interaction, and scalable consumer technology.

You'll work directly with the founders to translate abstract ideas into real, resilient infrastructure—making foundational technical decisions that will shape the product, culture, and long-term direction of the company.

This role is for someone who wants ownership, influence, and creative latitude, not just tickets in a backlog.

This is a remote role, with flexibility and autonomy.

What You'll Do

• Design and build core platform architecture from the ground up

• Develop scalable, secure systems that support real-time interaction and personalization

• Collaborate closely with product and creative leadership to define technical strategy

• Make thoughtful trade-offs between speed, quality, and long-term extensibility

• Help establish engineering standards, tooling, and best practices early

• Solve ambiguous problems at the edge of current social and AI paradigms

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience in full-stack or backend engineering, with architectural ownership

• Comfort working with modern frameworks and tools (e.g. JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node, Python—exact stack is flexible)

• Experience designing APIs, managing data models, and working with cloud infrastructure

• A systems thinker who enjoys building platforms, not just features

• Clear communicator who thrives in small, high-trust teams

• Entrepreneurial mindset—curious, adaptable, and comfortable with uncertainty

Bonus (not required):

• Experience with AI-integrated products, real-time systems, or consumer-scale platforms

• Prior start-up or early-stage product experience

Why This Is Different

• You'll be building something culturally meaningful, not just technically impressive

• You'll have real influence over product direction and technical philosophy

• You'll join at the moment where ideas become infrastructure

• Equity-level impact, not "employee #27" energy
