Job Overview

We are looking for Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our team. You'll be responsible for maintaining outdoor environments to a high standard, ensuring they are safe, tidy, and well presented.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a strong work ethic, and takes pride in maintaining green spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine grounds maintenance including grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, pruning, and weed control
  • Undertake planting, mulching, and turfing as required
  • Operate and maintain power tools and machinery (mowers, strimmers, blowers)
  • Support the maintenance manager in delivering site work to client standards
  • Maintain equipment in clean and safe condition
  • Follow site safety standards and ensure all work areas are left tidy
  • Represent YGS Landscapes professionally at all times

Requirements

  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture (commercial experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of tools and machinery used in maintenance work
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
  • Valid CITB HS&E Operative Test pass (CSCS card preferred)
  • Reliable, proactive, and a good team player
  • Positive, "can-do" attitude and pride in workmanship
