Primary Teaching Assistant – Classroom Support Role

Location: Bexley
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)

Are you a graduate looking to gain experience working in a primary school setting?

A well-regarded primary school in Bexley is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to provide classroom support and individualised help to pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside class teachers to deliver engaging lessons, run small group interventions, and provide 1:1 support for children who may need extra help. You'll also play an important role in promoting positive learning behaviours and supporting children's social and emotional development.

Primary Teaching Assistant - Key responsibilities:

  • Providing in-class support across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
  • Running small group and 1:1 intervention for pupils who need additional help
  • Supporting children with SEND or EAL needs
  • Assisting with lesson preparation, resources, and classroom management

This role is ideal for aspiring Primary teachers or those passionate about working with children in a supportive school environment.

Primary Teaching Assistant - We're looking for:

  • A 2:1 or First-Class degree (any subject considered)
  • A genuine interest in education and child development
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Commitment from September 2025 to July 2026
