Responsibilities

  • Wash, clean, and sanitise all kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans to ensure hygiene standards are maintained.
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors.
  • Support the organisation of kitchen storage areas, ensuring all items are stored correctly and efficiently.
  • Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and equipment throughout shifts.
  • Support the serving staff during busy periods by delivering food and clearing tables when required.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures is desirable.
  • Experience working in restaurants, hotels, or similar hospitality environments is preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude towards teamwork.
  • Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
