We are based in Buckshaw Village, just outside Chorley and are passionate about our people and especially nurturing and training those at the start of their careers.

The Role

The role as a Streetworks Administrator is a great opportunity to join a successful, fast paced and driven Streetworks Team who work to targets and manage challenging work flows daily. Have you ever been stuck in traffic at temporary roadworks and wondered how they got there? Well, within this role, you will be trained to arrange all the scheduling around teams getting on to site and also ensuring all legislation criteria is being followed correctly to maintain high standards and ensure all works that take place are safe. This role is varied, and no day is the same, some other role responsibilities include:

  • Job Building to ensure teams have full job and safety information on site.
  • Liaising with both Clients and Local Authorities.
  • Liaising via the telephone and email with external Teams (Gangs) on the road ready to start their jobs, plus being the first point of contact for Gangs (Teams) on the road looking for guidance.
  • Review Utility Prints to ensure it's a safe area for the teams to work.
  • Ensuring Streetworks legislation is followed to ensure no one is working illegally.
  • Reporting Traffic Management requirements and ensuring they are in place for each job.
  • Communicating and escalating where needed and ensuring that the correct information is both sent and received within required timescales.

Training and Ideal Candidate

As this is a trainee role, full training and support will be given from your first day. We have in place a set schedule and induction process to ensure you feel supported and guided. You will also be given the chance to gain an Accredited Award Winning Streetworks qualification, all delivered from our own In-House Training academy, alongside you daily tasks.

Our ideal candidate will also have a passion for problem solving, excellent eye for detail and enjoy taking ownership of your work. You will also ideally have:

Completed and gained strong results in courses such as: A levels, BTEC, T Level or even completed an Apprenticeship or looking to change. This could be in Business, Business Administration, Customer Service, HR, Maths, English just to name a few. We would also like to ideally have :

  • Minimum X5 GCSE's: Grade 4 and above including Maths and English
  • Good natural communication skills both face to face and over the telephone
  • Good written communication skills
  • Good IT Skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams and Word
