We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at the Vale Resort as a Casual Night Leisure Housekeeping Assistant.

We are looking for a night housekeeping assistant who works to the high standards that are expected within the resort to maintain exceptional levels of cleanliness.

About the Role:

Duties include:

  • Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitising public areas, and restrooms.
  • Handle laundry duties, including folding, and restocking linens.
  • Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
  • Restock housekeeping supplies and ensure cleaning equipment is properly stored.
  • Adhere to hotel policies, health, and safety regulations.
  • Working flexibly overnight between the hours of 10pm & 6am.

About you:

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
  • Good physical stamina for standing, bending, and lifting during the shift.
  • Willingness to work overnight hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent service

The Vale Resort – Part of the Leekes Retail and Leisure Group:

Leekes Retail was established in 1897 as an ironmonger in the Welsh Valleys and the group has grown and diversified over the last 120 years.

It remains a family business run by the fourth generation with the retail division trading from 4 large home department stores, 2 furniture stores and a builders' merchants, whilst the leisure group two four-star hotels – the Vale Resort and a 17th century grade I listed castle Hensol Castle in addition to a gin distillery and visitor centre.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: From £12.85 per hour
