DESIGN MANAGER – Roofing & Cladding | WARRINGTON

I'm working with a well-established Roofing & Cladding specialist in Warrington that's looking to bring an experienced Design Manager into their growing team.

This is a genuinely strong opportunity for someone who knows and understands the building envelope sector to a substantial degree, and wants to take the next step in their career.

.Industry Focus:- Roofing & Cladding across the full building envelope, including (but not limited to): Standing Seam, Composite Systems, Rainscreen, Single-ply Flat Roofing, Hot Melt Roofing, and SFS/Structural Framing.

Location:-Warrington – primarily office-based, with site visits and client/architect meetings as required.

Package:-Competitive, reflective of experience.

Role & Responsibilities:

The successful applicant's main roles & responsibilities would be as follows;

  • Produce project specific working drawings.- Produce project specific Fabrication drawings.
  • Review project contact drawings & specification, i.e. Architects, Structural Engineers, Steelwork, etc, and raise any necessary design queries.
  • Attend Design meetings both on site and via Teams where necessary.
  • Liaise directly with Customers, Architects, etc, as part of the design process.
  • Liaise with system manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Liaise with site staff, supervisors, installation operatives, etc, in respect of any design related issues.
  • Material scheduling and procurement.
  • Site measuring and surveys as and when necessary.

This role also offers the chance to broaden your involvement across other areas of the business where appropriate, giving you wider exposure and a long-term route to senior development.

Experience Required:You'll need a minimum of 5 years' experience in a design-related role within the Roofing & Cladding industry. Ideally this includes hands-on knowledge of multiple envelope systems and the ability to take ownership of your design packages from early stages through to installation.
