Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively within a team. A valid driving licence is preferred for this position, as it may involve travelling to clients' homes.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to senior staff.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in IT applications related to care documentation is advantageous.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.
