Due to the recent departure of one of our team, we are currently looking to recruit a suitable Mechanical Services Projects Engineer.

Summit Design is an independent, family owned Mechanical Services Contractor with over 32 years' experience designing, selecting, installing, commissioning and maintaining HVAC systems in London and the South of England. Our business activity is particularly centered on fine dining restaurants and hotels in London, particularly the West End, Mayfair and Soho.

We are looking for someone who can join a successful team who wants to add value to our business.

Key criteria:

  • A strong mechanical services aptitude and a good knowledge of air con, ventilation, gas and water regulations

  • A high level of mobility and a full driving license

  • Experience in the design /estimation / installation of mechanical services projects

  • The ability to communicate professionally both spoken and written

  • Excellent decision-making and organisational skills

  • Drive, ambition and engineering aptitude to get the job done

  • Strong project management skills, particularly in coordinating 4x trades

  • An understanding of application based invoicing systems, profit & loss reports

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

We continue to make significant investment in the back of house administration, and we are set to increase our turnover again in 2026.

Summit Design's current business model is:

  • 60% Kitchen supply & extract; general fresh air supply & extract ventilation, toilet extract
  • 25% Air conditioning
  • 15% Plumbing and heating

Salary range: The right salary for the right person; we are open to offers and guidance

Benefits: Company car; mobile phone; Company work wear; Company pension [after qualifying period]; up to 25 days holiday [after qualifying period]; working with a fantastic team and an awesome Management Team Additionally, ongoing training will also be provided.

Candidates will be considered within a 60-mile radius of Mayfair, Central London [or up to 1 hour travelling]; Please note, there is NO DIRECT SALES required in this role; but customer retention and customer service are a major factor.

Attendance at Head Office in Bourne End is expected to be 2 or 3 days a week, the remaining week will be split between on site attendance and working from home [after qualifying period]
