Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Adult Psychiatry Specialty Doctor to join our multidisciplinary mental health team. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive psychiatric care across diverse patient populations, including outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in psychiatric assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapies, with a particular focus on adult mental health conditions. This position emphasizes collaborative patient care, clinical excellence, and adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and quality service delivery.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for adult patients, including those with developmental disabilities, PTSD, addiction issues, and geriatric concerns.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy (psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy), psychopharmacology, and crisis management strategies.
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services utilizing evidence-based practices such as behavioral health interventions and psychotherapeutic modalities.
  • Manage patient care through intake procedures, ongoing monitoring, and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for complex cases involving mental health counseling, addiction counseling, or specialized populations like geriatrics or children.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms to extend services when appropriate, ensuring seamless patient access and continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient assessments, treatment progress, medication management, and other relevant clinical data.
  • Participate in data collection efforts for quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects related to mental health outcomes.

Requirements

  • Medical degree with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry; post-residency experience in adult psychiatric care is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in psychiatric diagnosis and treatment across diverse populations including inpatient, outpatient, Geriatrics, and behavioral health settings.
  • Proficiency in psychopharmacology, psychotherapy (including psychodynamic therapy), cognitive behavioral therapy, crisis management, and addiction counseling.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents is a plus but not mandatory; familiarity with working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, intake procedures, and medical documentation standards aligned with HIPAA regulations.
  • Telehealth experience is highly desirable to facilitate remote patient consultations effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating excellent patient care skills.
