The Role

As a Children's Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs. You will work as part of a caring, professional team to create a stable home environment that promotes healing and positive change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent, therapeutic support within a residential setting
  • Use trauma-informed approaches, including the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy)
  • Help children develop coping skills, emotional regulation, and resilience
  • Support the delivery of personalised care and daily routines tailored to each child's needs
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes
  • Build positive, trusting relationships that promote stability and growth

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in residential childcare (minimum 1 year preferred)
  • Understanding of therapeutic or trauma-informed care (PACE experience desirable)
  • Compassionate, patient, and emotionally resilient approach
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence – essential
  • Passion for improving the lives of children and young people
