Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Factory/Production Operative to join our dog food preparation team. This role involves operating and maintaining production equipment within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will ideally possess previous food production or butchery experience, have a high level of attention to detail, and committed to ensuring high-quality output. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to secure a permanent contract via a temp-to-perm initial role.

Duties

  • Operate various production machinery safely and efficiently according to standard procedures.
  • Assist with butchery and mincing practices using all nose-to-tail parts of the animals.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and products to maintain quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to promote high hygiene standards.
  • Follow health and safety protocols at all times, including proper handling of materials and equipment.

Skills

  • Previous experience within butchery or food preparation will be advantageous
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to adapt and learn new skills and procedures is a must.
  • You will be handling all parts of the animal which will going into the product so a strong stomach will be a requirement for the position
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team is a must
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to safety practices

What's on offer?

  • £12.25ph - weekly pay
  • 09:00am - 18:00 - with 1 hour unpaid break
  • Monday to Friday
  • Temp to perm opportunities
