About the Role

CHG Electrical Ltd is seeking an organised and technically competent MEICA Supervisor to support the safe and efficient delivery of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation projects across the North West water sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced site supervisor or senior craftsperson ready to progress. You will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, supervise teams, maintain high HSEQ standards and ensure MEICA works are delivered on time, to specification and in line with client expectations.

Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and clients, you will play a key role in installation, testing, inspection and commissioning activities—while developing the skills and experience needed to progress into a future Project Manager role.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily MEICA activities across multiple sites.
• Maintain excellent health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Review drawings, RAMS and work packs to ensure clarity and buildability.
• Lead and brief site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to maintain productivity and programme compliance.
• Support installation, testing, inspection and commissioning of MEICA equipment and systems.
• Provide daily updates to the Project Manager on progress, risks, resourcing and programme changes.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, permits and inspection sheets.
• Oversee safe electrical and mechanical isolations and energisation procedures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry specifications (e.g., WIMES) and client technical standards.
• Contribute to site audits, toolbox talks and continuous improvement activities.
• Assist with handover documentation, redline drawings and as-built information.

About You

• Strong MEICA/EICA installation or supervisory experience (water or utilities preferred).
• Knowledge of ICA systems, LV switchgear, MCCs, pumps, valves
• Familiar with CDM requirements, permits, temporary works and site safety procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and ensure works are completed to specification.
• Confident communicator able to coordinate teams and resolve on-site challenges.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
