London, Greater London, United Kingdom Flo Health Full time £47,000 - £90,000 per year
500M+ downloads. 77M+ monthly users. A decade of building - and we're still accelerating.

Flo is the world's #1 health & fitness app worldwide on a mission to build a better future for female health. Backed by a $200M investment led by General Atlantic, we became the first product of our kind to reach a $1B valuation in and we're not slowing down.

With 6M paid subscribers and the highest-rated experience in the App Store's health category, we've spent 10 years earning trust at scale. Now, we're building the next generation of digital health - AI-powered, privacy-first, clinically backed - to help our users know their body better.

The job

The Legal & Compliance team at Flo isn't just about rules; they're like the company's navigators, helping Flo grow in the fast-paced world of health tech and AI.

You'd be part of a three-person Compliance team, driving key compliance initiatives in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

We're looking for a Compliance Counsel who's proactive, can own projects from start to finish, and partners with product folks to find solutions that are both compliant and smart for the business.

Your role: You'll be involved from the very beginning, spotting risks, making complex legal stuff easy to understand, and shaping compliance for cool AI tools like Symptom Checkers.

How you'll rock it:
  • Be in on early product chats, finding regulatory hurdles and guiding the team to good solutions.
  • Turn complicated regulations into super clear guidance for everyone.
  • Bake compliance right into Flo's health and AI products.
  • Lead projects across different teams (product, marketing, legal, etc.) to keep Flo ahead.
  • Strengthen Flo's legal game in the EU, UK, and US.
Your success will be measured by: How well you help Flo move faster, smarter, and more responsibly, not just by "ticking boxes."

Your responsibilities:
  • Taking charge of compliance for new products, features, and marketing campaigns related to the Flo app (health tech), including chatbots, widgets, story feed, AI-enabled features and pro-social activities.
  • Giving clear advice on things like wellness device rules and advertising regulations, e.g. Apple Store and Google Play guidelines, medical and wellness device regulations (FDA and MDR), FTC/ASA rules around marketing and advertising, including, for example, the negative option rule and claim substantiation, DSA and DMA regulations, and geo-blocking regulations.
  • Being a strategic partner in product development, anticipating issues, and finding practical solutions.
  • Working with commercial teams on consumer and competition laws.
  • Helping develop and implement the Compliance Program, including AI governance.
What you need:
  • Law degrees (Bachelor's and Master's).
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluent English.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, team player who thrives in a startup.
  • Can make quick, informed decisions and manage multiple projects solo.
  • Learns fast and adapts to new tech and legal challenges.
  • Experience with tech companies or in-house at a software product company.
Bonus points if you have:
  • Experience in consumer law and wellness apps.
  • Experience with AI governance, especially in health tech.
  • Worked with subscription products.
  • Project management skills.
  • Familiarity with agile methods and tools like Jira and Confluence.
We welcome candidates across different levels of seniority and professional backgrounds. Final compensation will be determined based on your experience, seniority, and performance throughout the interview process.

Annual Salary Range (ranges may vary based on skills and experience)

£47,000-£90,000 GBP

How we work

We're a mission-led, product-driven team. We move fast, stay focused and take ownership - from brief to build to impact. Debate is encouraged. Decisions are shared. We care about craft, ship with purpose, and always raise the bar.

You'll be working with people who take their work seriously, not themselves. It takes commitment, resilience, and the drive to keep going when things get tough. Because better health outcomes are worth it.

What you'll get

We support impact with meaningful reward. Here's what that looks like:
  • Competitive salary and annual reviews
  • Opportunity to participate in Flo's performance incentive scheme
  • Paid holiday, sick leave, and female health leave
  • Enhanced parental leave and pay for maternity, paternity, same-sex and adoptive parents
  • Accelerated professional growth through world-changing work and learning support
  • Flexible office + home working, up to 2 months a year working abroad
  • 5-week fully paid sabbatical at 5-year Floversary
  • Flo Premium for friends & family, plus more health, pension and wellbeing perks
Diversity, equity and inclusion

Our strength is in our differences. At Flo, hiring is based on merit, skill and what you bring to the role - nothing else. We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds, communities and identities. Read our privacy notice for job applicants.
