We are currently seeking a Qualified English Teacher to join one of our partnered PRUs (Pupil Referral Units) in South East London. This long term and full time role is available ASAP, offering an exceptional opportunity to make a real impact on young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) and SEN (Special Educational Needs).

This is an exciting chance for a Qualified English Teacher who is passionate about transforming outcomes for students who may present challenging behaviour. Role Overview

As a Qualified English Teacher in a PRU in South East London, you will be part of a dynamic, supportive team committed to delivering high-quality, inclusive education. Daily Duties

  • Deliver engaging English lessons tailored to SEMH and SEN learners
  • Develop individual learning plans to support student progress
  • Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour using trauma-informed approaches
  • Work collaboratively with pastoral and support teams within the PRU
  • Track and assess student development, reporting progress regularly
  • Adapt curriculum content to meet diverse needs and learning styles
  • Provide a safe, nurturing environment that promotes emotional resilience
  • Participate in regular staff meetings, CPD, and reflective practice sessions
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies where necessary
  • Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment activities
