Business: Vanilla Bean Café

Location: Fulham

Hours: 30 hrs with flexible rota hours

Operating times: 8am – 5pm

o To help and support the cook to deliver the menu meals to the required standards along or without head chef on the shift

o To support the cook in the effective operation of the kitchen

o To play an active role in the cleanliness and order of the kitchen

o To respond to customer's requests regarding food and drink *Principal To prepare food and cook in a hygienic manner and requests in respect of the menu

o To be able to prepare cakes, bread and pastries as per company recipes and standards

o To be punctual and ready for your shift as per rota

o To be involved with the preparation and serving of full menu for all customers

o To help wash up and load dishwasher throughout the day

o To help put away deliveries in a timely manner and record

o To dispose of waste correctly

o To ensure that all food is used within the prescribed period, with particular attention paid to perishable goods

o To contribute in the serving of food

o To keep the kitchen, food storage and preparation areas clean and tidy

o To perform other such reasonable duties requested by the chef

o Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor at regular intervals

o Observing cooking times and correct temperatures

o To prepare before operating hours all the food as agreed with the chef

o To assist and prepare & pack wholesale cakes and products as per orders

o Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas

o To be a great team player with the ability to listen and learn

o Coordinating with the kitchen & floor staff

o To be able to run the shift on your own in head chef's absence

o To be flexible on rota availability

o To give on a regular basis hand over to the head chef

o To cover head chef's days off and holidays

o To be responsible for maintaining stock levels and ordering food supplies as and when needed

o To follow the kitchen safety procedures and hygiene standards

o Ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly

o Ensuring personal hygiene is up to standards

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £13.50-£14.50 per hour
