Are you a Staff Product Designer who loves building intuitive and user-centered products?
Would you like to join a fully remote, independent, and profitable company? If you'd like to work in a small, friendly, experienced team and tackle some interesting design challenges, we'd love to hear from you.
With one of our Co-founders being a Product Designer, design and user experience have been at the core of what we do since the start. If you love to dig deep into what makes users tick and turn this knowledge into simple and efficient products, we think you'll be right at home here.
Want to know more?We are fully remote
Our Co-founders are in different countries, and our team is spread across Europe, Brazil, and Canada. We don't have a head office for you to visit, and we never will.
Flexible, asynchronous working
Gives us task flexibility and work-life balance. Minimal meetings allow you to focus on deep work and get things done.
Profitable. Indipendent. Long-Term Focus
We're a profitable company with a strong foundation. We operate independently, prioritizing long-term success and innovation.
Equity options for everyone
Work at Spoke for at least one year, vests over 5 years.
Annual company performance bonus
Paid in January and pro-rated to your start date in your joining year.
The right laptop for you
We'll give you £3,200 every three years to buy the laptop of your choice.
£500 a year for new tech/home office
Need a new desk, chair, keyboard, or headphones? Build a space to do your best work.
32 days of paid holiday per year
You can use it whenever you like. Four weeks in one go, one day off (almost) every other week, or anything in between.
Invest in your wellbeing
£1000 a year for gym memberships, fitness classes, sports equipment, alternative therapies, mental health resources, and more.
Annual team meet-ups in 5-star locations
We get together once a year as a team to collaborate, get to know each other, and have fun
Enhanced parental leave
16 weeks on full pay and up to 52 weeks in total; through birth or adoption, have the time and resources to welcome your new addition.
Connect with each other
£1,000 a year for self-organized in-person work sessions. Plan team meetups to connect and build stronger bonds.
There is so much more to tell you, but we can't fit it all into one job advert Visit our careers page and view our public handbook at
How we started, what we do, and how it's goingBack in 2017, we saw an issue with last-mile delivery. Delivery drivers have a complicated and stressful job, and although delivery software existed, it neglected the driver experience. We set out to create the app that puts drivers first.
We were astounded by the response we received. Drivers told us their job was no longer stressful, and they got home earlier every day. Within our first year, we had almost 1,000 customers, $100k in ARR, and a team consisting of our two co-founders, Jack and Pol. Now, with a lean team of ~50 talented people, we've grown to $25M ARR, helping over 100,000 drivers deliver more than 1.4 billion packages worldwide—about 40 every second
Job requirements What you will be doingYou'll be joining our team of five product designers to work on Spoke Dispatch — the tool couriers use to receive orders, manage drivers, and track deliveries. It's a B2B product that's growing up fast: moving from a simple, early-stage tool into a mature, reliable platform for enterprise customers.
There's plenty of depth and complexity in the problems ahead, and you'll have real space to shape how we solve them. As a team, we care about making things thoughtful, clear, and genuinely useful — and we want to build something we're proud of.
You'll be tackling three main challenges: evolving the product's structure as we add new features, keeping it intuitive as it becomes more powerful, and moving quickly without sacrificing quality.
We're a small, flat team, and you'll have plenty of autonomy and real responsibility.
Design and product work overlap heavily here. You'll do as much discovery and scoping as you will designing components. Creating specs in Figma is useful, but no more important than opening Chrome dev tools to understand what's actually happening in the product.
We're product-led in the literal sense: most of our growth comes from people recommending us because the product works well for them. That's the core measure of success for this role.
Within the design team, we share work early and often. We run regular brainstorm sessions, and people bring whatever stage they're at. There are no mandatory rituals — we trust each other to ask for feedback when it's needed and to give it in a way that's useful.
What you won't be doing
Daily stand-ups, sprints, or scrum meetings. Expect ~one meeting per week. We're not the right fit for you if you rely on regular meetings to keep on track
Turning tickets into designs without critical thinking
Sacrificing quality. We have high standards and won't rush to meet an arbitrary deadline
Managing people. We are a team of experienced ICs, which means we can keep hierarchy to a minimum. You'll manage projects, but you won't manage people. You also need to be okay with taking on more junior, administrative tasks.
Have extensive experience designing mobile apps or websites, SaaS products, or power-user tools
Like to solve tricky problems and create products that are a joy to use
Are at your happiest working on projects from start to finish - talking to users, identifying & exploring issues, designing & implementing solutions, and monitoring their success
Instinctively know when to take your time - and when to get things done quickly
Enjoy working autonomously, and know when to trust your gut or gather more data
Like to get things right and done on time
Come up with alternative ideas that accomplish goals with less complexity
Are based in UTC-5 to UTC+2 time zones
Can speak and write in English at a professional level
Our hiring process for this role has four stages and usually takes ~three weeks. At every step, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and make sure that we are the right choice for you.
You'll have a 45-minute video call with Sadie. She will tell you more about Spoke and ask questions to help get to know you, too.
2 - Meet the hiring teamMeet Gabriel, the hiring manager, and Megan, GM of Spoke Dispatch. During this 45-minute video call, we would like you to take us through a piece of work.
3 - Whiteboard exerciseLastly, we will invite you to take part in a live whiteboard exercise with our Co-Founder & Principal Designer, Pol. It should take around an hour, and it's a great way for both you and Pol to get a feel for how you approach a project.
We make an offer to the candidate who is the best fit for our team.
If you need us to make any adjustments to our interview process or if I can make you more comfortable for our first call, please let me know. Sadie
