JOB TITLE: Procurement Advisor

Turbine Repair Technologies Ltd (TRT Ltd) are excited to be looking for a Procurement Advisor to join our Procurement team in a dynamic and growing company.

TRT Ltd is a joint venture between Rolls-Royce Plc and Chromalloy, focused on the repair of gas turbine blades and vanes for aerospace and energy applications. It has specialisms in various coatings required to protect components from extreme heat during operations in addition to some more conventional repair techniques. TRT is beginning to use more advanced technologies in its repair processes such as robotics, adaptive machining and laser deposition.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone to support the TRT business in purchasing products and services, negotiating with suppliers to ensure the required materials are available at the right time and value

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers for future products.
• Drive value for TRT, proactively working with suppliers to identify cost reduction opportunities for the business.
• Ensure materials are sourced in compliance with Customer / Quality requirements
• Negotiate terms of contract with both new and existing suppliers.
• Raise purchase orders; ensure accurate recording and monitoring of all purchase orders.
• Provide insight and analysis of spend to management team, highlighting areas of concern and opportunities for cost reduction.
• Keep management up to date with any supply challenges, working proactively to minimize disruption.
• Liaise with other departments within the business to ensure requirements for new materials and tooling are understood.
• Accurately booking in / issuing Rolls-Royce parts and other certifiable materials.
• Monitor production critical inventory levels, working closely with Production and Engineering personnel to ensure supply meets demand.
• Identify and support the implementation of process improvement initiatives.
• Supplier performance monitoring and reporting.
• Train and mentor junior staff.
• Understand and work to TRT guidelines and observe all TRT policies.
• Understand and conform to all Quality requirements within TRT Limited.
• Any other duties that may be required by the Company.

In addition, the successful candidate will be required to understand and work to TRT guidelines and observe all TRT policies.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Strong and effective communicator.
• Computer literate, competent user of all Microsoft Office applications
• Hands on approach, takes ownership and is effective working as part of a team.
• Good maths skills and high attention to detail
• Has a sense of urgency and works diligently to achieve timelines.
• Flexible and adaptable to evolving business needs.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Demonstrable good written and verbal communication skills (Essential)
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines (Essential)
• Demonstrable negotiation skills (Essential)
• Experience of working in the Aerospace industry (Desirable)
• CIPs qualification or equivalent (Desirable)
