Job Summary

We are a Nurse-led skin and aesthetics clinic specialising in holistic, science-backed skin rejuvenation journeys. We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Skin Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for clinical skincare, providing exceptional, results-driven treatments and services to our patients.

As a Skin Therapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the overall customer experience by delivering personalised skincare solutions rooted in evidence and ensuring patient satisfaction throughout their journey.

In addition to your clinical skills, success in this role demands exceptional reliability, punctuality, and fantastic people skills. We are looking for an ambitious professional ready to grow and thrive within our clinic. We offer flexibility regarding employment, with the role available on either a self-employed or employed basis (subject to a probationary period). We anticipate this position will offer opportunities for additional hours and professional growth as the clinic expands.

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum qualification: NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy (General or relevant specialisation) is essential; NVQ Level 4 is highly desirable.
• Proven competency and hands-on experience performing the following advanced treatments:
• IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) / Laser treatments
• Chemical Peels
• Microneedling

Duties

• Perform a variety of advanced skin treatments, including IPL/Laser, chemical peels, microneedling, radiofreqeuncy and more.
• Assess skin types and conditions to recommend appropriate science-backed treatments and products that align with their holistic rejuvenation journey.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic clinical work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with patients and addressing their needs effectively, fostering a trusting relationship within our nurse-led environment.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest clinical skincare research, trends, products, and techniques to provide informed, evidence-based recommendations.
• Educate patients on proper skincare routines and product usage for optimal and sustained results.
• Handle patient appointments, ensuring timely service delivery while managing schedules efficiently.
• Ensure timely and accurate note keeping for clinical records.

Skills

• Demonstrated high-level technical skill in IPL, chemical peels, and microneedling.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to create a welcoming and professional clinical atmosphere for patients.
• Excellent communication skills in English, enabling effective interaction with patients and team members, including collaborating with our nursing staff.
• A keen eye for detail and a genuine interest in clinical, science-backed skincare and aesthetic trends.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility in a fast-paced clinical environment.
