Overview

We are seeking a motivated, pro-active, enthusiastic and charismatic individual to join the team in our new flagship store. No previous experience is required and full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting with various optical tasks.

The role involves speaking to and canvassing with members of the public walking past the store, educating them about the importance of an eye test and inviting them in for a free eye test.

Duties

  • Greet and assist customers in selecting eyewear that suits their needs and preferences.
  • Canvassing and achieving daily targets.
  • Conduct preliminary vision tests and gather patient information to support optometrists.
  • Prepare and maintain optical equipment, ensuring it is clean and in good working order.
  • Assist in the fitting and adjustment of spectacles, ensuring proper alignment and comfort for the wearer.
  • Manage inventory of frames, lenses, and contact lenses, including ordering supplies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative tasks as required.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology to provide informed recommendations to customers.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £16,000.00-£22,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 16 – 37.5 per week
