Could you help West Suffolk Hospital to deliver the best quality and safest care to our local community?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Advisor to join the Trust's Risk Office Team. The Risk Office provides high quality expertise and support to all services and specialities across the Trust. The primary responsibility of the post holder will be to support the Trust in meeting its legal obligations under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. This includes covering multiple sites as required within the Trust's contract for both acute and community services.
Ideally with a health and safety background you should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of governance principles within the NHS, including health, safety and risk management. Excellent verbal and written communication will be essential, together with organisational skills and the ability to effectively use information.

This will involve working on all aspects of risk assessment and COSHH including training, advising, monitoring and maintaining the Trust's Risk assessment repository and risk register and COSHH database.
You will need to develop strong and supportive relationships with staff at all levels within the Trust
